Ikwo Noyo Youth Consultative Forum was formed on 27th October, 2019 with then 39 members from different traditional communities in Ikwo local government area, Ebonyi State, Nigeria .

It was later Incorporated with Corporate Affairs Commission on 10th day of November, 2020

An interim leadership was constituted which was as follows:

After two years in office as acting president, Hon. Ilang led administration transited power to the board of trustees under the chairmanship of Hon Ben Steve Ede following the congress resolution on 23rd Day of December, 2021 at local government headquarters Onuebonyi Echara. The board of trustees, led the association from December, 2021 till June 3rd, 2022 when they conducted the first ever free and fair election for the association that ushered in the present leadership.

On 23rd July 2022, the first elected officers of Ikwo Noyo youths consultive Forum were sworn into offices in the following order:

On resumption of office the present executives have remained focused and had security challenge to contend with besides other countless challenges ranging from lack of financial base to poor domestication of the association across the villages of ikwo as it were, however,in their first seven months in office today, this executive prioritize on peace project as their cardinal asset and have been embarking on programs that would institutionalize peace in Ikwo local government area, they started with:

Notable Impacts 

  1. Collaboration with the musicians of Ikwo origin to co-produce a song in Ikwo dialect that centered on peaceful coexistence tagged: Ikwo Noyo, ‘tehu Le mgbenya’, meaning, Ikwo Noyo wake up from slumber and pursue peace vigorously (refer pics and videos in event gallary)!
  2. Had the first ever(from history) meeting with all the over one hundred youth presidents from more than one hundred and fifty villages of Ikwo, which was the turnaround point in the journey of peace and the village entry strategy for the association to enable the leadership domesticate INYCF in all the villages of Ikwo (refer pics and videos in event gallary)
  3. Organized a one-million man peace and unity road walk across Ikwo that shook the entire locality (refer pics and videos in event gallary)
  4. Embark on recurrent radio program in partnership with the media practicers of Ikwo origin under the program, ” Odulenma Ikwo” project where we use Ikwo dialect to communicate peace and other matters of importance.
  5. Organized leadership training for all the executives, directors and secretaries, board members, and all the village youth presidents, centered on leadership capacity building, economic strengthening and core value system maintenance as leaders (refer pics and videos in gallary of events)
  6. Had the first Ikwo Noyo unity football tournament ever organized by the youth organization across the communities of Ikwo as a unifying strategy (refer pics and videos of events gallary)
  7. Conducted Ikwo Noyo maiden youth convention to climax the association activities for the year under review, 2022 that heralded series of social and cultural events (refer pics and videos in events gallary)
  8. Opened an education and skill empowerment trust fund account for charity basis for the deserving less privileged students and small skilled workers (refer: 2282445074 UBA Ikwo youths consultative empowerment fund)
  9. Other social security and health interventions offered to deserving beneficiaries cannot be overemphasized.
  10. Administratively, for effective and efficient discharge of governance, this administration created the first ever directorates which cut across different areas of concerns and needs that will birth a systematic and impact oriented leadership to the people. The directorates are fourteen in number (refer to directorates section).
  11. We Set up a mechanism of profile data collation of all our youths, to enable us develop a data base where we stratify our youths according to educational, social backgrounds and the overall statuses to enhance our policy making processes using the data available as may be reviewed at intervals.
  12. Partnership with Stanbic IBTC Ebonyi State Branch to empower over one hundred youths economically with POS Machines.

  15. Empowering a trained and certified phone/laptop technician from ochokwu inimagu with all the equipments to start up.
  16. Speaking and enforcement of justice when our sons and daughters were unjustly maltreated
  17. Ensuring that victims of reckless road blockade by contractors along azuoffia Enyibichiri were treated by the contractors at fetha2
  18. Raising concerns and funds for offsetting school fees challenges of some deserving students
